Who Needs Texas Holdem Poker Lessons?

Texas Holdem Poker Lessons are best taught by our personal experiences as our folks used to tell us. Well they are right. Our folks already master Texas Holdem Poker Lessons after years of playing this poker game variant. Others learn the strategies while watching other people play. Probably they watch it live or in TV such as the World Poker Tour. Moreover, as the more time they spend or play the more they imbibe the basics and eventually and hopefully they share the Texas Holdem Poker Lessons.

For the meantime, let us discuss two Texas Holdem Poker Lessons.

First, we observe the Poker Table. A lot of people overlook this. When we talk about the Poker Table, we are not exactly referring to the table itself about how the players are seated and where does the dealer start giving out cards. Positions play an important role in Texas holdem because if how you play your cards will have a great impact on how the other players will play theirs.

For example, after shuffling the deck, the dealer starts giving out cards with you. In most casinos the player who received the first card are marked with the dealer button. This means that you will start the (pre-flop) betting round once each player had their pair of cards. The initial two cards in Texas Holdem are called hole or pocket cards. Assuming that you get a 3 of clubs and a 4 a diamonds, you could either fold (meaning you surrender that poker round) or you make a raise (meaning you increase the minimum bet required to play the pot). Which you think is advisable to take: to fold or to raise? For some perhaps, they will take the risk of raising or placing all their bets in. However, if you know your Texas Holdem Poker Lessons well, you might do the otherwise.

By the way the dealer button moves around the players so everybody will be given a fair chance. The next player on the left of the dealer button will place a bet which is called blind. Depending on how the casino rule there could be two or three blinds. The amount of the second blind is twice as much as the first one.

Second, let us deal with our hole or pocket cards. In our earlier example, why do you think it is advisable to fold with a 3 of clubs and a 4 of diamonds? It is because the probability of making a straight (meaning a five card combination, which is increasing in value). Otherwise, if we receive "double A" cards (meaning two aces) it is highly recommended to place all-in our chips. Again if you know your Texas Holdem Poker Lessons, you might first force your opponents to place more bets before deciding place in all your bets.

There are other Texas Holdem Poker Lessons that a player should know to fully enjoy this card game.
